Today is a big day.  We are now in October!  The month I am due!  Official date is still Oct. 24th.  I went to the dr yesterday and never in my life thought I could be so excited about something as small as 1 cm.  But, that’s what she said I am!  I am dilated 1 cm and the baby’s head is in position in my pelvis.  So, that was great news!!  She said the baby definitely got the memo and knows what she’s supposed to do.  She said the baby is still measuring great.  She also said that if I can get to 2 cm, that would greatly reduce the risk of me having a Caesarian birth if she has to induce me.

So of course everyone wants to know, what does this mean for Baby Michel’s arrival?  Well, not much really, except that my body is moving in the right direction.  I could stay at 1 cm for a week or several weeks…. I could get to 2cm and stay there a few weeks… It’s still up to God at this point!  I’ll just be watching my body for signs of labor and making sure the baby is still moving each day.  I don’t think I’ll need an ultrasound since the baby is not breech at this point.

FYI…. if my water breaks, Baby Michel will be delivered within a 24 hour period.  So, keep that in mind…  My dr also made me schedule all the rest of my appts so I could get on her calendar.  I told her that was BAD KARMA as I certainly did not want to see her on Oct. 27th for yet another pre-baby appt!!

That’s about all for now!  Talk to everyone soon!

Love to all,

Liz & Chad
