September 10, 2009 at 5:09 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentI have finished my rotation at the obgyn to meet all the other doctors at the practice. My next appt. on 9/24/09 will be back with my doctor – Dr. Petrovski. I haven’t seen her in about 6 weeks, so I’m looking forward to that!!
At my last appt., they drew blood to see if I was anemic. Well, turns out this non-redmeat eater is (no surprise there…) just a little bit, so now I’m taking iron pills. The only concern I had for the doctor yesterday was about this constant pain in my right side – under my rib cage. I was sure it was the baby, but wanted to ask to be sure….. Well, when she checked for the heartbeat, she had it on my lower right side… So i said, “Oh, she used to be on the left side…” That’s when the doctor said, “Yep! She is all squished on your right side. This is what we call one of the ‘discomforts’ of pregnancy. Usually doesn’t happen until around week 36, so you’re getting it a little early…” GREAT!!!!!!!! So, yes, Baby Michel’s feet are caught/stuck up underneath my right side rib cage and is causing me great discomfort all day long and depending on how I move excruciating pain….. So, there’s nothing I can do about it…. Oh well…
Other than that, everything else is going well. Blood pressure is still low, weight gain is still happening, feeling fine…. They did give me a flu shot yesterday. Regular flu, not the swine… Those will be available Oct. 1st.
Chad and I have our second of four “prepared childbirth” classes tonight. We get to take a tour of the hospital which he is excited about…
So, that’s about all! I’m 33 weeks and 5 days today!
Love to you all,
Liz & Chad
